We are WA FAB, a family-led network of Washington State charter parents, caregivers, and teachers.
We’re not asking for a seat at the table. We’re already here.
About us
Established in 2020, we are a family-led network of Washington State’s charter school communities uniting to care for, support, and learn from each other as we care for our children and work for their success.
Based on our personal experiences, we share relevant information to support families, teachers, and staff in understanding and improving the charter public school system. We also offer peer-to-peer guidance to families addressing concerns with their student’s education.
Sharing information to build community
Explore our website to learn about building family-school partnerships, what you can do with your seat at the table as a charter school parent or teacher, and keep up to date on community events.
Providing you with a safe space to talk
Want to talk with a fellow parent about concerns with your student’s education? Let us know! We can chat confidentially with you one on one or host a small group online (and sometimes in person) and help you come up with an advocacy action plan.
Hosting charter family led meetings & workshops
We design and host workshops that support the needs of our school communities—from special education to digital life skills to advocacy training for new and experienced charter parents. We want communities to see the benefits of charter schools and believe that through informed systems navigation, parents and educators will improve student experience and create sustainable, thriving charter schools here in Washington State.
