Carla Rogenmuser
Originally from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, I am now a charter school parent living in the South Sound with my spouse, Eric Willard, and our two children. We are a founding family of Impact | Puget Sound Elementary and Ashe Prep Academy. We were also part of Tacoma’s SOAR Academy and DeLong Elementary school communities.

Emily McLeod
Emily McLeod lives in Des Moines, WA with her husband Andy and their two children: Connor and Charlotte. The McLeods are a founding family at Impact | Puget Sound Elementary in Tukwila, where Emily also founded the family engagement group. Her children now attend Rainier Prep Charter Middle School in Burien. As a busy stay-at-home mom, Emily volunteers at her kids’ schools, leads two ministries at her church and is the leader of her daughter’s Girl Scout Troop.
At WAFAB, Emily is passionate about educating families about the charter sector and equip them on successfully building relationships with their school. She loves to connect with and listen to the cares and concerns of families and teachers to help them feel empowered to elevate their voice and find value in their unique stories and backgrounds. Emily also shares her own experiences and encourages others to use their voices to create positive change.

Eric Willard
I am a Midwest born, Brooklyn transplant to the South Sound. My spouse and I have 2 children in Charter Schools and I enjoy a very active lifestyle including the outdoors, craft beverages, grilling and gardening.
I got involved in Charter Schools to get better support for my children. Having a 2E son and an autistic son, I saw the struggle of trying to navigate an organization not designed to be responsive to those with special needs.
Given this history, I focus on parent education and coaching around the SPED process as well as advocating for those traditionally marginalized by the public education system.
